Introducing Genesis by OptiFunder: The New Name for OptiFunder’s WMS for Mortgage Originators

The platform previously known simply as OptiFunder will now be called Genesis by OptiFunder.

OptiFunder is announcing an official name for its legacy Warehouse Management System (WMS) for mortgage originators. The platform previously known simply as OptiFunder will now be called Genesis by OptiFunder, or Genesis, for short.

Why the New Name?

OptiFunder has grown from a single platform into a technology company powering two distinct, complementary systems for the warehouse ecosystem—one for originators and one for warehouse lenders. To provide clarity and reinforce OptiFunder as the company (not the software), each platform now carries its own identity:

OptiFunder’s evolution reflects more than expanded technology—it reflects its role as a strategic partner to both mortgage originators and warehouse lenders. As the company has grown, OptiFunder has taken a deeper partnership approach across the warehouse ecosystem, working alongside clients to streamline operations, reduce risk, and strengthen connectivity between funding and post‑closing processes. By supporting both sides of the warehouse relationship with purpose‑built platforms, OptiFunder is uniquely positioned to help originators and warehouse lenders operate more efficiently together, reinforcing its identity as a long‑term partner in warehouse operations.

Why “Genesis”?

Genesis represents the beginning of a more connected warehouse ecosystem. The platform now known as Genesis was OptiFunder’s first platform—an innovation that fundamentally changed how mortgage originators approach warehouse funding. Genesis brought automation, optimization, and connectivity to the warehouse funding lifecycle, helping originators and warehouse lenders work better together.

At its inception, Genesis optimized warehouse decisions for the best financial performance. The system has evolved to automate all aspects of funding through loan sale, including batch funding, wire data checks, collateral tracking, purchase advice reconciliation, paydown requests, and more.

Two Platforms, One Ecosystem

While Genesis and Greyhound serve different stakeholders, they are intentionally designed to work together. OptiFunder’s mission is to “drive a seamlessly connected funding lifecycle for mortgage originators and warehouse lenders.”

When a mortgage originator uses Genesis and their warehouse lender uses Greyhound, both sides experience a seamless, unified loan lifecycle—from funding through post‑closing and repayment—advancing OptiFunder’s mission to deliver a fully connected funding ecosystem.

What’s Changing for Clients?

Mainly one thing: the name.

    • The product formerly known as OptiFunder will now be referred to as Genesis by OptiFunder.
    • Clients will begin to see the Genesis name and logo within the application, in communications, and across documentation.
    • All the core functionality, automation, rules engine, integrations, and performance clients rely on remain unchanged.

Looking Ahead

By naming the platform Genesis, OptiFunder strengthens its identity as the company powering two complementary solutions that work together to support a truly connected warehouse ecosystem. Genesis reflects the platform that started it all and the future of a more connected, efficient, and intelligent funding lifecycle. With Genesis for originators and Greyhound for warehouse lenders, OptiFunder continues to push the industry forward and reinforce its mission of seamless connection across the warehouse ecosystem.
